Volleyball Announces 2024 Summer Camps

Summer camps schedule features six different camps running from July 15-18

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Head Coach Kevin Foeman and the rest of the Eastern Michigan University volleyball program announced this year's summer camps, today, May 14. The slate of six camps and clinics, which will run from July 15-18, will include a three-day Youth Camp, an EMU Elite Camp, and four different skill-concentrated clinics.
EMU volleyball camps are open to any and all, limited only by age, gender, grade, and capacity restrictions specified by each camp. Any questions regarding camps should be directed to the Eastern Michigan volleyball staff. Contact information can be found here.

Full Camp Schedule
July 15-17th – Youth Camp
» Registration: 8:30-9 a.m.
» Camp: 9 -12 p.m.
» Ages Welcome: K-8th Grade
» Gender: Coed
» Location: George Gervin GameAbove Center
» Registration Fee: $100
» Youth Camp is designed for an introduction of all skills and beginning fundamental skill development. This is the perfect camp for those players who are just learning the game. Campers will play with a lighter ball and on a lower net to help the overall skill development and enjoyment of their experience.
July 16th – Eagle Serving Clinic
» Registration: 12:30-12:50 p.m.
» Camp: 1 - 2:30 p.m.
» Ages Welcome: 6th grade to 12th grade
» Gender: Coed
» Location: George Gervin GameAbove Center
» Registration Fee: $40
» The Eagle serving clinic is designed for athletes of all skill levels to learn the power of strong serving. Players do not need to have competitive volleyball experience to attend the Eagle serving clinic, just a desire to learn and improve!
July 16th – Eagle Hitting Clinic
» Registration: 2-2:20 p.m.
» Camp: 2:30-5 p.m.
» Ages Welcome: 6th grade to 12th grade
» Gender: Coed
» Location: George Gervin GameAbove Center
» Registration Fee: $60
» This hitting clinic is designed for the fundamental skill development of hitters in all positions. This intense half day clinic will focus on hitting technique, footwork, and the ability to hit shots for all hitters. Players will be divided based on skill, and placed in groups where they will be challenged and improve their hitting skills.
July 16th – Eagle Setting Clinic
» Registration: 2-2:20 p.m.
» Camp: 2:30-5 p.m.
» Ages Welcome: 6th grade to 12th grade
» Gender: Coed
» Location: George Gervin GameAbove Center
» Registration Fee: $60
» This setting clinic is designed for the fundamental skill development of the setting position. This intense half day clinic will focus on technique, footwork, and game strategy for setters. Players will be divided based on skill, and placed in groups where they will be challenged and improve their setting skills.
July 17th – Eagle Passing & Defensive Clinic
» Registration: 12:30-12:50 p.m.
» Camp: 1-4 p.m.
» Ages Welcome: 6th grade to 12th grade
» Gender: Coed
» Location: George Gervin GameAbove Center

» The Eagle Passing and Defensive Clinic is designed for the fundamental skill development of the most important aspect of volleyball- passing. This intense, half day clinic will include fast paced, high repetition drills focusing on all areas of passing and back row defense. Campers will receive a lot of repetitions in all phases of these positions.
July 18th – Elite Camp
» Registration: 8:30-9 a.m.
» Camp: 9-4 p.m.
» Ages Welcome: Entering 6th Grade to College Freshman
» Gender: Coed
» Location: George Gervin GameAbove Center
» Registration Fee: $100
» This elite camp is designed for those athletes looking to receive high-level instruction while being coached and evaluated by the Eastern Michigan staff. It is designed to push and instruct individual athletes with high level technical training. The campers will experience and participate in drills regularly utilized in our gym. Campers will be divided by their experience level, and will participate in various wash drills and scrimmages. This camp is open to all participants.
