After punting and forcing a punt, the Eagles marched down the field with Snyder finding Terry Lockett Jr. (St. Paul, Minn./Minnehaha Academy/Michigan State) in the end zone on a Hail Mary as time expired, bringing EMU to within one (29-28). Eastern went for the two-point conversion, but Snyder's pass to Lockett Jr. fell incomplete.
