Full Schedule
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University gymnastics Head Coach Katie Minasola announced the program's 2025 schedule Thursday, Oct. 17. The Eagles are slated to hold five home competitions inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center.
"We are looking forward to hosting five home meets in the George Gervin GameAbove Center", Minasola said. "The meets kick off with several different themes, including Ypsi Days, Golden Girls Classic, Purple/Alumni, Greek Life and our Senior Meet. Along with a packed home schedule, we anticipate a lot of MACtion throughout the season, and we are excited to head out West to California for a great double meet weekend. We want to see YOU at the George Gervin GameAbove Center this season!"
Before the official 2025 campaign begins, the Eagles will compete in a scrimmage hosted by the University of Michigan, Friday, Dec. 6 in Ann Arbor, Mich. In addition to Michigan and EMU, expected participants include the remaining two Michigan Mid-American Conference members, Western Michigan University and Central Michigan University.
In the new year, EMU will begin its 48th season with three straight home meets, first hosting Bowling Green, Sunday, Jan. 12 at the George Gervin GameAbove Center. In the first MAC game of the season, the Eagles gymnastics team hopes to build off their last meeting against the Falcons Feb. 24, when the Green and White earned a first-place finish and season-best 196.100 team score, good for seventh all-time in program history.
Friday, Jan. 17, the Eagles will host the Golden Girls Classic and attempt a replay of last year's senior meet against Northern Illinois, where they came away with a MAC victory. Northern Illinois, Ball State, and Winona State will also travel to Ypsilanti for competition. The team is slated to continue its homestand as the squad welcomes MAC opponent Kent State, Sunday Jan. 26, where the Eagles look to build off their third-highest overall team score set last year against the Golden Flashes.
The next three matches send the Eagles on the road as they travel to DeKalb, Ill., Feb. 2 for a rematch with the Huskies, Kalamazoo, Mich., Feb. 9 to face Western Michigan, and Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Feb. 14 to compete against the Chippewas of Central Michigan. A brief break from travel takes place on Feb. 27, when the Green and White host the Broncos of Western Michigan and Wilberforce at home.
The Eagles hit the road for two final away meets on the West Coast against UC Davis and the San Jose State Spartans, March 7 and Sacramento State, March 9. The Eagles round off the season prior to postseason with a home meet against the Cardinals of Ball State University, Friday, March 14.
Finally, the 2025 MAC Championships will be held at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Saturday, March 22. If the Eagles qualify, the team could compete at NCAA Regionals, April 2-6, at one of four possible locations including Salt Lake City, Utah, Seattle, Wash., Tuscaloosa, Ala., and University Park, Pa. This season's NCAA Championships is set to be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, April 17-19.
