CHERRY HILL, N.J. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan rowing team concluded Knecht Cup competition on the Cooper River this afternoon, April 16.
How It Happened
The Eagles' Second Varsity Eight squad opened the morning in the Petite Final, where the boat finished sixth with a time of 7:32.24 in the 2,000 kilometer race. Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opponent Villanova University took the top spot in the race at 7:06.16.
The First Varsity Eight boat competed next, taking third in the Third Final with a 7:23.92 time. CAA foe University of Connecticut finished first while the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's "B" boat landed in second place.

"We are not going fast yet," said Head Coach Kemp Savage. "We are going to fix that over the next four weeks."
