Foeman Interview
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Kevin Foeman, first year Eastern Michigan University volleyball head coach, and the rest of the team have announced its 2023 spring schedule today, March 23. The slate includes three scrimmage matches, two of which are set to be hosted by the Eagles.
The Green and White enter their spring season after a fall campaign that saw the Eagles victorious in five matches, four of which came against Mid-American Conference foes. The highlight of the season included the upset of the year, when EMU defeated the eventual MAC Champions, Bowling Green State University, in a five-set thriller inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center, Oct. 21.
Kicking off the 2023 spring schedule is a 2 p.m. Sunday matchup in Ann Arbor against the Wolverines, March 26, inside Crisler Center located on the campus of the University of Michigan. Fans are welcomed to see the action as the University of Michigan has listed the event free and open to the public. The contest will mark the debut of Foeman and his staff.
From there, the Green and White are set to host Ferris State University, Saturday, April 1, in EMU's Auxiliary Gym located inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center. The match is slated to begin at 2 p.m. Due to the limited amount of space in the auxillary gym, this match will not be open to the public.
Eastern Michigan will wrap up its spring schedule with one more home match, this time inside the Main Gym located in the George Gervin GameAbove Center. Fans are encouraged to attend as the Eagles will take on the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers, Saturday, April 15, in a 1 p.m. meeting.
Home volleyball matches are free to not only students and staff, but also to the general public. To stay up to date with Eastern Michigan volleyball, continue to check out EMUEagles.com or follow the team on Twitter (@EMUVolleyball) and Instagram (@emu_volleyball).
