YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving program announced its 2022-23 schedule Friday, Sept. 30. The slate includes nine meets in total and five home meets, including the annual Green and White Scrimmage, Oct. 1, and the Senior Day Extravaganza, Feb. 4.
The Eagles will begin their fall schedule with a Mid-American Conference matchup at Toledo, Oct. 28. The following Friday, Eastern will compete against the University of Michigan and Ohio University, Nov. 4, right down the road in Ann Arbor, Mich. inside the familiar Canham Natatorium. Eastern will stay close to home the following weekend, playing host to Oakland University, Nov. 12, at Saline High School.
EMU concludes its fall slate with the Denison Invitational, Dec. 1-3. Eastern will start back up for its winter schedule when the Eagles travel to Fort Myers, Fla. to compete against Florida Gulf Coast University, Jan. 5. The Green and White will continue its January slate with a home quad meet, playing host to Grand Valley State University, University of Findlay and University of Indianapolis, Jan. 13. Eastern will conclude its competitive regular season with a dual meet versus the University at Buffalo, Jan. 21.
The postseason will begin for the Eagles when they travel to Oxford, Ohio for the MAC Championships, Feb. 22-25, hosted by Miami University.
In 2021-22, the Eagles saw 15 student-athletes named to the Academic All-MAC team, while the program was also named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team. In another big season, the EMU divers sent four to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
