EMU Celebrates Homecoming Week from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University will commemorate Homecoming with a variety of exciting in-person events as part of its weeklong "Where It All Started" celebration from Sept. 27 through Oct. 1.
"Every year, Homecoming celebrates the most spirited week on EMU's campus with so many fun ways for alumni and Eagle fans to show their support of the University," said Mia Milton, chair of the homecoming steering committee and interim executive director of Alumni Relations and Engagement. "We are so excited for the 2022 Homecoming celebration as we welcome home students, alumni, and friends to a week filled with fun activities."
Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and EMU community members can participate in the events during the week on campus.
The Homecoming celebration kicks off at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 27, with an Ice Cream Social at the Student Center.
In the middle of the week, everyone should come ready to sing/rap songs of their favorite trap artists at Trap Karaoke. Hosted by the student organization the Kings of Color, the event will take place on Sept. 28 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Student Center Ballroom.
The week's festivities will also include spirit tables, trivia night, a cookout, Paint and Pour, and the Green and White Ball.
EMU's "Where It All Started" will conclude with a football game on Saturday, Oct. 1, when the Eagles take on the University of Massachusetts Minutemen. Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Rynearson Stadium. Fans are invited to arrive early to attend the pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on the Rynearson Stadium front lawn and to tailgate outside the stadium.
