East Preliminary Championships are set for May 25-28 in Bloomington, Ind.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field program will see its 12 regional qualifiers compete at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships this week, May 25-28, in Bloomington, Ind., hosted by Indiana University.
Wednesday, May 25
Junior Newlyn Stephenson (Gary, Ind.-Thea Bowman Leadership Academy) will kick-off the meet for the Eagles, participating in the hammer throw competition at 10 a.m. Next, senior Joe Duff (Croswell, Mich.-Crosswell-Lexington (Concordia University)) will take on the javelin at 2 p.m. At 6 p.m., sophomore Almighty Williamson (Baltimore, Md.-Digital Harbor (Barton C.C.)) and junior Payne Wylie (Elstow, Saskatchewan-Colonsay School) are set for the first round of the 110m hurdles. Senior Chukwusom Enekwechi (Valley Stream, N.Y.-Jamaica Gateway to the Sciences (Monroe College)) will be the final EMU thrower to compete on Wednesday, making an appearance in the shot put at 7 p.m. Lastly, junior Dante Lander (Dayton, Ohio-West Carrollton (Central Michigan)) is set for the opening round of the 400m hurdles at 8:20 p.m.
Thursday, May 26
Senior Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) will have a busy Thursday, competing in both the hammer throw (10 a.m.) and shot put (7 p.m.). Also at 7 p.m., sophomore Kilani Harvey (Orlando, Fla.-Jones (Morehead State)) is scheduled to partake in the first round of the 100m dash.
Friday, May 27
Senior Solomon Costa (Gahanna, Ohio-Gahanna Lincoln) is slated to compete in the steeplechase at 5:40 p.m. Next, classmate Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Windhoek, Namibia-Fishburne (Va.) (Bethany College)) and junior Richie Sadler (Greenview, S.C.-Greer (Coastal Carolina)) both look to soar in the triple jump. Then at 8:10 p.m., junior Baldvin Magnusson (Akureyri, Iceland-Hull University) will take on the best in the East in the 5000m race.
The East Preliminary Championships will be streamed for free on the Hoosiers' Athletic Site. Additionally, live results will be provided by the NCAA.
