Track & Field Tabs 13 All-MAC Selections

Seven Eagles earned first-team honors while six were tabbed for the second team
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field team saw 13 Eagles earn All-MAC honors announced the Mid-American Office today, May 18.
Junior Baldvin Magnusson (Akureyri, Iceland-Hull University) proved why he's the best track athlete in the Mid-American Conference after a historic outing at the MAC Outdoor Championships, May 12-14. On the first night, Magnusson won the 10,000m race in 30:14.23, the first time he had competed in the event since 2019. Two days later, the junior won the 1500m race (3:47.52) and followed that up with a 5000m victory (14:41.99) just a few hours later.
For his heroic efforts this weekend, the junior was dubbed the Men's Most Valuable Performer and Men's Most Outstanding Track Performer. With the individual titles this weekend, Magnusson became the first runner in MAC history to win the cross country individual title, indoor mile, indoor 3000m, indoor 5000m, outdoor 1500m, outdoor 5000m, and 10,000m all in one season.
Senior Joe Duff (Crosswell, Mich.-Crosswell-Lexington (Concordia University)) (JT), Magnusson (1500m, 5000m, 10,000m), and sophomore Almighty Williamson (Baltimore, Md.-Digital Harbor (Barton C.C.)) (110H) all earned first-team honors for their title victories last weekend for the men.
On the women's side, senior Keypathwa Gibson (Toledo, Ohio-Roy C. Start) (4x100m), junior Mair Edwards (Basingstoke, England-The Costello School) (400m, 4x100m), sophomore Kilani Harvey (Orlando, Fla.-Jones (Morehead State)) (4x100m), and freshman Saraiah Walkes (Manatee County, Fla.-The-Out-of-Door-Academy) (4x100m) were selected to the leagues first team as well.
Picking up Second Team All-MAC honors were: seniors Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) (HT, SP), Chukwusom Enekwechi (Valley Stream, N.Y.-Jamaica Gateway to the Sciences (Monroe College) (SP, DT), and Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Windhoek, Namibia-Fishburne Military (Va.) (Bethany College)) (TJ), juniors Dante Lander (Dayton, Ohio-West Carrollton (Central Michigan)) (400H) and Payne Wylie (Elstow, Saskatchewan-Colonsay School) (110H), and sophomore Ousman Kamara (Coatesville, Pa.-Coatesville) (HJ).
