EMU's 1V8 records second-place finish with a time of 6:56.6

BOSTON, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing team took on Atlantic Coast Conference member Boston College and Patriot League foe Boston University today, April 9, on the Charles River.

How It Happened
In the first race of the day, EMU's 1V8+ boat could not overcome the Terrier's strong burst, but was able to pass BC for second place, crossing the finish line in 6:56.6, the Green and White's fastest time of the day. Eastern's 2V8, 1V4, and 3V8 crews all took third with times of 7:21.3, 8:40.1, and 8:15.0 in their respective races.

Quoting Head Coach Kemp Savage
"We performed pretty well off a super short week and a long travel weekend. We need to continue to work on our practice consistency so it carries over for racing."
