EMU Rowing to Host Dayton in Regular-Season Finale

The Eagles will face the Flyers on Ford Lake, May 1
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - After a two-week break in competition, the Eastern Michigan University rowing team is ready for its final regular-season test, a regatta with the University of Dayton Sunday, May 1. The first race on Ford Lake is set for 10 a.m.
Last time out, EMU's First Varsity Eight boat earned a win over Bucknell University on the Susquehanna River with a time of 6:40.24, April 16. The Green and White's Second Varsity Eight crew was also victorious, edging Villanova University's boat, 7:06.64-7:07.69.
Dayton most recently participated in the George Mason Invite on the Occoquan Reservoir, April 21. In Fairfax Station, Va., the Flyers won the Novice 8+ petite final in 7:32.5, while the 1V8+ crew finished second at 6:50.0.
Following the regatta on Ford Lake, Eastern will prepare for the Colonial Athletic Association Championship, May 15. The conference meet will be held in Pennsauken, N.J. on the Cooper River and will commence at 11 a.m. with the Third Varsity Eight race.
