Zack Mason Named MAC Golfer of the Week

The Toronto, Ontario, Canada native collected the MAC weekly honor for the third time
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University senior Zack Mason (Toronto, Ontario, Canada- Blyth Academy Lawrence Park) was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week for the third time in his career today, April 22. The honor comes after a strong showing at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, April 16-17.
Mason continued his resurgent play with a 217 (74-69-74) to finish in a tie for 11th. The best showing of the season for Mason, it marked his first top-15 finish since the 2021 Mid-American Conference Championship, April 30-May 1, 2021.
Overall, Eastern Michigan finished in fifth place among 14 teams on the par-71, 7,202-yard PSU Blue Course. The Eagles posted a final round 299 to finish with a two-day, 54-hole score of 879 (296-284-299).
Eastern will have one week off before competing for the MAC championship on April 29-May 1 at the White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville, Ill.
