PHOENIX, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – Darkness suspended play at the GCU Invitational, as all 23 teams were nearing completion of their second round Monday, March 14, on the 7,148-yard, par 71 GCU Golf Course.
The second round will be completed Tuesday morning prior to the start of the third and final round.
How It Happened
The host Antelopes led the team standings at 13-under par, two strokes ahead of Southern Mississippi.
EMU is currently tied for 18th-place. The Eagles shot a first round 295 and were one-over in the second round with a handful of holes left to play. All second-round results are considered unofficial until the scorecards have been submitted and entered.
Senior Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic) resides in 28th. Celone shot a 72 to begin the day and was one-under in the afternoon's 18 holes.
