Dull Continues to Pace EMU at Rio Verde Invitational

Eastern Michigan sits in 11th as a team with a 620
RIO VERDE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – Scoring conditions were not as favorable on day two of Rio Verde Invitational with just 11 of the event's 92 golfers posting rounds of par-or-better, Feb. 26. Eastern Michigan University freshman Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota) continued to pace the squad, firing another 75 for a two-day cumulative score of 150 (75-75) on the par 72, 6,001-yard White Wing Golf Course.
Kennesaw State remains atop the leaderboard with a 582 (286-296), three strokes ahead of Xavier. KSU's Caitlyn Campbell surged to the top-spot in the individual standings with a 139 (67-72), two shots in front of XU's Kara Carter.
How It Happened
Dull finished with a pair of pair of birdies in the round to remain in a tie for 18th, as EMU dropped five places on the day. Freshman Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario-Tommy Douglas Secondary School) is tied for 34th after a second round 77 for a two round score of 153.
Sophomore Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) is tied for 50th with a 157 (76-81) and junior Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) is in a tie for 62nd at 160 (76-84). Junior Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) rounded out the scoring with a 170 (82-88) in a tie for 87th.
Up Next
Sunday's final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. MT with a shotgun start. The Eagles will be paired with Akron and Loyola.
