ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving program drops tri-meet against the University of Michigan and Ohio University Friday afternoon, Nov. 4, inside Canham Natatorium.
Eastern (1-2, 1-1 MAC) fell to the No. 14-ranked University of Michigan, 227-70, and dropped its matchup with Ohio University, 166-133.
Senior swimmer Sav Mouat (Tecumseh, Ontario- All Saints) earned Eastern's lone event victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle, earning a time of 10:21.04.
EMU earned second-place finishes from Camryn Hughes (London, Ontario-Sir Frederick Banting Secondary) (1-meter dive - 270.95), Katie Shoen (Owego, N.Y.-Owego Free Academy) (50 free - 23.58), and Alexandra Kudo (Guelph, Ontario-John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute) (500 free - 5:00.18). With her second-place score in the 1-meter dive, Hughes has qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, March 9-11, for the second consecutive season.
