YPSILANTI, Mich. EMU entered the day in fifth, but strong play pushed the squad into a tie for second place with a two-day total of 922 (313-304-305).
Central Michigan University cruised to the team title by 20 strokes, finishing with a 54-hole mark of 902 (302-295-305). Watson fired a one-under 71 to finish as the only player in the field to flirt with a par-or-better final round. No other player shot lower than a 74 on the day. The Ashland, Ohio native finished tied for seventh overall with a 229 (78-78-73) for her fifth career top-10 showing.
The Chippewas' Ashley Goh led wire-to-wire to claim the individual championship with a two-over 218 (69-72-77). Goh and Bowling Green State University's MacKenzie Moore collected Golden Duck awards, as a memento of Spork's favorite collectible.
