Eastern Michigan Gymnastics Inks Two for 2023

Iyana King and Kyrie Lowe will join the team in fall 2022
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University gymnastics Head Coach Katie Minasola announced the signing of Iyana King (St. Louis, Mo.-Gateway STEM) and Kyrie Lowe (Lake Worth, Fla.-Park Vista) to the 2023 roster today, Jan. 20.
"I am thrilled to announce the additions of Iyana King and Kyrie Lowe to our team next year," said Minasola. "They will bring a combination of experience and talent to our team that will keep our program moving in the right direction."
King comes to Ypsilanti from Team Central Gymnastics, where she became the 2021 Level 8, Region 7, vault champion. Lowe, trained by her mother Tara Lowe at Intensity Gymnastics, placed third on bars and beam at the Level 10 Regional meet (Region 8) in 2018. Both gymnasts will join the team in the fall for the 2022-23 academic year.

EMU: Joins EMU as a freshman for the 2023 season...HIGH SCHOOL: Competed out of Intensity Gymnastics under Head Coach Tara Lowe, her mother...Placed eighth at the 2018 Junior Olympic National Championships on beam...Earned third on bars and beam at the Level 10 Region 8 Regional meet in 2018...PERSONAL: Full Name: Kyrie Alyssa Lowe...Daughter of Eric and Tara...Has two brothers, Steven and Brayden...Major: Undecided.
