YORKTOWN, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team heads to Yorktown, Ind., to open the 2021-22 season at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State University, Sept. 20-21.
The Players Club course plays to a par-72 and a length of 6,204. There will be two rounds on Monday, with a shot gun start and continuous play beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday's round will begin at 9 a.m.
The 16-team tournament will feature six Mid-American Conference teams (Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, EMU, Ohio, and Western Michigan) along with Butler, Cleveland State, Dayton, IUPUI, Loyola, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Taylor, and Valparaiso.
Head Coach Stephanie Jennings will use the lineup of sophomore Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit), junior Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School), freshman Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland), freshman Sophia Wygonik (Westland, Mich.-Livonia Franklin), and freshman Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota). Freshman Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario-Tommy Douglas Secondary School) will be taking part in the event as an individual competitor.
