The redshirt senior finished 11th in the long jump

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field program was represented by one Eagle at the UNF Invitational, Thursday, April 29, on the Jax Track at Hodges stadium. Redshirt senior Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Windhoek, Namibia-Fishburne Military (Bethany College)) made the trip to the Sunshine State to compete in the long jump and triple jump events for the two-day meet.

"Baboucar had a good first meet back after taking time off," said Associate Head Coach Sterling Roberts. "We found some things we're gonna work on going into MACs and the NCAAs, and he's excited to get out there and triple jump tomorrow!"

On the campus of North Florida, the Namibia native ultimately finished 11th with a leap of 7.25m. Isaac Grimes of Florida State paced all participants with a bound of 8.07m.

Action for Mohammed continues on Friday, April 30, at 10 a.m at the University of North Florida where he will battle the field in the triple jump. Meanwhile, other members of the program are set to attend Oakland University's Grizzly Mini Meet, Friday, April 30, at 3 p.m.
