Each week a number of Eagles will be honored for their success in competition
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Each week, the Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics names the EMUCU's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic media relations department based on their athletic performances from the previous week.

EMU senior golfer Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary) led EMU in a star-studded field Boilermaker Invitational, April 10-11. Collins notched his 15th career top-25 finish, tying for 23rd place at 219 (72-74-74). The Caledon, Ontario product posted a trio of birdies on the final day to finish with seven overall on the weekend. EMU finished 11th with a 886 (294-294-298), two shots behind No. 38 ranked Ohio State.

Senior Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) had an immensely productive weekend at the Spec Towns Invitational, April 9-10. On the first day of competition in Athens, Ga., the veteran thrower produced a hammer throw of 57.18m for second place to move up to No. 3 all-time in the event in program history. The following day, the Jamaica native made history in the outdoor shot put, notching the best mark in school history with a toss of 14.83m. For Clarke, she also owns EMU's top distance in the weight throw (19.82m) and is second in the indoor shot put (15.29m).
