ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team fell to Oakland University, 182-118, at the Oakland Aquatic Center, Feb. 5. The meet marked the end of Eastern's non-conference schedule for the 2020-21 season.
Diving highlighted the evening for EMU, led by reigning Mid-American Conference Diver of the Week, senior Bethany Berger (Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este), and sophomore Keira Veltigian (Oxford, Mich.-Oxford). The meet also saw six Eagles notch season-best times. Senior Avrie Stewart (Menominee, Mich.-Menominee) (2:05.46) and Staver (2:06.76) set new season standards in the 200 backstroke, while senior Kaitlynd Scanlan (Waukesha, Wis.-Pewaukee) finished the 500 free in 5:13.74 to mark a season-best.
