Track & Field Announces 2021-22 Team Captains

Nine Eagles earn captain roles
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University Director/Head Coach of Cross Country and Track & Field Sue Parks announced captains for the 2021-22 track & field season.
"We are excited to announce our captains for the 2022 track and field season," said Parks. "These individuals have all shown qualities that you look for in leaders and we feel that they are great representatives of our program. I know that this group will work hard to set the tone for the team as we work towards reaching our goals this coming season."
Wearing the 'C' for the men's team are graduate student Taige Bryant (Edmond, Okla.-Edmond Memorial), senior Skyler Lester (Marietta, Ga.-Marietta), juniors Richie Sadler (Greenville, S.C.-Greer (Coastal Carolina)) and Eddie Zuercher (Rocky River, Ohio-Rocky River), and sophomore Kyle Martin (Ypsilanti, Mich.-Ann Arbor Huron).
The women's team will be led by graduate student Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception), senior Keypathwa Gibson (Toledo, Ohio-Roy C. Start), and juniors Tiffany Cernej-Garcia (Ann Arbor, Mich.-Ann Arbor Pioneer) and Chevonne Wheeler (Redford, Mich.-Divine Child).
The Eagles' next meet is the Wolverine Invitational, Jan. 8, 2022. The meet will take place in Ann Arbor, Mich., hosted by the University of Michigan.
