EMU and Toledo Finish in a Sunday Stalemate

The Eagles scored with just a little over one minute remaining in regulation to tie the match at one
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- On a sunny Sunday matinee at Scicluna Field, the Eastern Michigan University soccer team finished in a stalemate with Toledo, 1-1, Oct. 16.
The result brings the Eagles' overall record to 2-10-3, and their Mid-American Conference record to 1-5-2.
How It Happened
Both squads looked to head into halftime scoreless until Toledo forced a turnover in its offensive zone, which allowed Ellie Pool to score for Rockets in the top right corner from 14 feet for the one-goal advantage in the 45th minute.
The Eastern attack would wait until the 89th minute to net the equalizer. EMU tied the match on a free kick chance from freshman Vittoria Greco (Brooklyn, Ontario-Brooklyn) to a diving Haley Tausend (Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) into the bottom left corner of the net.
The Rockets would earn a penalty kick try with just four seconds remaining in regulation, but sophomore Rebecca Przybylo (Canton, Mich.-Plymouth) made a diving save to her right to keep the game even, and ultimately led to a 1-1 tie.
Game Notes
» Przybylo finished with a career-high nine saves.
» With the nine stops, Przybylo has now tallied five or more saves in all five of her appearances in net for the Eagles (four starts).
» Tausend scored the first goal of her senior campaign.
» The score is Tausend's third career goal. Her last score came in a 3-1 victory over Central Michigan, Oct. 31, 2019.
» Five different Eagles tallied a shot on goal.
