EMU Men’s Basketball Announces More Schedule Changes

The Jan. 2 game has been postponed while EMU will now play Akron on Jan. 9 rather than Jan. 5
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics has announced a trio of adjustments to the upcoming men's basketball schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Jan. 2 game against Kent State University has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a yet to be determined date. Additionally, the Jan. 5 game against the University of Akron will be shifted back to its originally scheduled date of Jan. 9.
"We continue to use an abundance of caution, as we have throughout the pandemic," EMU Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee said. "The health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff associated with the men's basketball program is of the utmost importance to us."
The EMU women's basketball game against Kent State will continue as planned for Saturday, Jan. 2, at 12 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. The contest will be shown on ESPN+ as well as aired locally on WEMU (89.1 FM).

Friday, Jan. 1 - Central Michigan at Akron
Saturday, Jan. 2 - Kent State at Eastern Michigan
Tuesday, Jan. 5 - Akron at Eastern Michigan
The following games have been scheduled
Friday, Jan. 1 - Kent State at Akron - 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 9 - Akron at Eastern Michigan - 2 p.m.
