Ella Chemotti and Jade Blankenship set to join the Green and White in fall 2021

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University gymnastics head coach Katie Minasola announced the signing Ella Chemotti (Canton, Mich.-Canton) and Jade Blankenship (Holly Springs, N.C.-Crossroads Flex) to the 2022 roster, Thursday, Nov. 19.

"I am very excited to announce the additions of Ella and Jade to our program," said Minasola. "Not only will they add depth to our lineups, but they add to our team culture as well. It has been great getting to know them throughout this process, and I look forward to continuing our relationships."

Chemotti will join the Green and White from Euro Stars Gymnastics, where she was coached by Tania Gueorguiev. The Canton, Mich. native dominated the competition, winning the Level 9 Regional vault, beam, and all-around championship, and then added a Level 10 beam championship. The incoming freshman, who is a two-time National Qualifier, is friends with current EMU gymnast, junior Kara Robert (Pinckney, Mich.-Pinckney).

Being coached by former Eastern Michigan gymnast Monica Davis (Lucas) (2006-09), Blankenship chose to come north to compete in college. The Holly Springs, N.C. native won a state championship on vault and competed at Eastern Nationals.

The Eagles look forward to another season of Mid-American Conference competition this January. Visit EMUEagles.com or follow @EMUGym on Twitter to stay up-to-date on everything EMU gymnastics.
