Rowing Announces 2019-20 Schedule

Eagles begin competition Oct. 5
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University head coach Kemp Savage announced the 2019-20 rowing schedule today, Sept. 19. The Eagles will take part in three fall regattas before kicking off the spring racing season.
"We are looking forward to a tough fall season to prepare us to be the best for the spring season and increase our racing opportunities and results," said Savage.
Eastern Michigan will begin regular season racing at the Head of the Grand, hosted by Michigan State, on Oct. 5.
The Eagles will then participate in the prestigious Head of the Charles on Oct. 19 for the third straight season. The Green and White will end the 2019 portion of the season with their sixth consecutive appearance at the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Nov. 2.
In the new year, Eastern will duel with the University of Alabama and Southern Methodist University in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Feb. 29.
The Eagles start April racing in Camden, N.J. on April 5 at the Cooper Invitational, followed by a race against Bucknell University on April 25.
Eastern concludes the regular season on April 26 at the Mason Invite, hosted by George Mason University.
The Colonial Athletic Association Championships take place May 17 in Pennsauken, N.J. The conference champion will earn a bid to the NCAA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
