34 Rowers Named to CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll

More than 2,400 student-athletes were named to the honor roll from conference universities
RICHMOND, Va. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's rowing team had 34 student-athletes recognized as members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2018 semester, the association announced Friday, March 29.
Members of the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll must have participated in a CAA-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade point average of 3.0 during the designated academic term, and been enrolled as a full-time student at their respective universities.
The Eagles named to the honor roll were: seniors Sarah Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio-Charles F. Brush), Jennifer Bucci (Toronto, Ontario-Bishop Allen Academy), Baylee Kinkade (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central), Stephanie Lamphear (Chesapeake, Va.-Great Bridge), Cailey Muir (Ann Arbor, Mich.-Saline), and Addison Oblanas (Seattle, Wash.-Seattle Academy), juniors Meagan Bond (Portland, Mich.-Portland), Haley Dutton (West Salem, Wis.-West Salem), Karissa Fald (Carvel, Alberta-Memorial Composite), Karson Mahaney (Troy, Ohio-Miami East), Ashly Matzek (Ellsworth, Wis.-Ellsworth), Alicia Schmidt (South Lyon, Mich.-South Lyon East), Hannah Taylor (Brooklyn, Mich.-Columbia Central), and Breanna Wirth (Southgate, Mich.-Southgate Anderson), sophomores Grace Burke (Columa, Mich.-Benton Harbor), Chloe Elwell (Milan, Mich.-Washtenaw Technical Middle College), Brynne Harder (Fenwick, Mich.-Saranac), Leah Huyser (Jenison, Mich.-Jenison), Chelsea Justice (Canton, Mich.-Plymouth), Eve Melody (Dublin, Ohio-Dublin Jerome), Jordan Reed (Ypsilanti, Mich.-Calavary Christian Academy/Plymouth Christian Academy), Diana Spokas (Woodstock, Ill.-Woodstock), and Carly Szymanski (Toledo, Ohio-Notre Dame Academy), and freshmen Priscilla Brom (Rockford, Mich.-Rockford), Michelle Deering (Pigeon, Mich.-Laker), Erica Dubke (Gibraltar, Mich.-Oscar A. EMU now looks ahead to its first competition of the Spring season, building off its two scrimmage competitions against Alabama and Indiana when it competes in the Cooper Invitational in Cherry Hill, N.J.
