EMU: 2018-19: Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2018 semester…Competed in four races as a member of the Second Varsity Eight, Third Varsity Eight, and Varsity Four boats…Member of the Third Varsity Eight that finished first in the B final at the Mason Invite (April 14)…Aided the Eagles’ Varsity Four to a fourth-place effort at the CAA Championships (May 19)…2017-18: Competed in six of eight competitions her second year at EMU…Was a member of the Second Varsity Eight that had a first-place finish at the George Mason Invitational (April 22)…2016-17: Competed in seven of eight regattas her first year at EMU…Was a member of the Second Varsity Eight boat that took first at the MACRA (April 30)…HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Memorial Composite High School and was a club water polo player and club swimmer...A 10-year member of the Stony Plains Sharks Swim Club, she qualified and medaled all four years of high school at the Alberta Summer Swimming Association Provincials, including a gold medal in the 1500m, silver in the 400 and 800m and bronze in the 200m backstroke relay...In addition, she also medaled 15 other times at various swimming competitions...A six-year member of the Edmonton Capitals Water Polo Club, where she participated in the Junior Olympics three times, winning gold in 2015...Led the Capitals in scoring the for three years, and was a team captain...PERSONAL: Full Name: Karissa Grace Fald...Daughter of Kevin and Pamela Fald...Has three sisters, Kennedy, Alisa, and Kyla...Major: Political Science.
