The annual event, held the first Saturday and Sunday of November, is one of the world's largest rowing regattas. Over two days, more than 2,000 boats are raced by competitors from 40 different states.
The Eagles will begin racing at 10:27 a.m. with the Novice 4+, followed by the Championship 8+ at 12:57 p.m. The Novice 8+ will begin at 2:23 p.m., and the day will conclude with the Championship 4+ race at 5:03 p.m.
Eastern will take on boats from Louisville, North Carolina, Alabama, and Oklahoma in the Championship 4+ and 8+ races. The Novice races feature boats from Miami, Georgia, NC State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Texas A&M, among others competing.
At this regatta last season, the Eagles posted a sixth-place finish in the Novice 4+ with a time of 18:50.562, fifth-place finish in Novice 8+ at 16:33.687, and recorded a program-best sixth-place finish in the Championship 8+ with a 15:28.076 mark.
EMU wraps up an already accomplished fall slate, claiming the program's first win over a Big Ten opponent since 2005, Oct. 5, at the Head of the Grand, followed by a program-best fifth-place showing at the prestigious Head of the Charles.
Results will be available on the Head of the Hooch's website. Additionally, results will be tweeted when available from the team's twitter account, @EMURowing.
