YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team will complete the home portion of its 2019 schedule when it welcomes Northern Illinois, Nov. 1, and Western Michigan, Nov. 2, to the Convocation Center for a Mid-American Conference Doubleheader. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.

Friday's match will be televised live on ESPN+, while Saturday will be a pay-per-view stream on Eagle All-Access.

THANK YOU SENIORS: Saturday's match will be the last at home for the four seniors that are part of the EMU volleyball team this season. The group has totaled 67 wins, and helped lead EMU to its first MAC crown and berth in the NCAA tournament, in 2018. The class is comprised of Ariel Hamby, Camille Schomer, Riley Taylor, and Cassie Haut.

ALL-TIME VS. NIU: The Eagles and Huskies have played 60 times in their respective histories, with NIU winning on 34 occasions. The Eagles took both matchups during the 2018 season, besting Northern, 3-0, in Ypsilanti before upending the Huskies, 3-1, in DeKalb. Most recently, NIU bested Eastern, 3-1, in a match played Sept. 28, 2019.

ALL-TIME VS. WMU: Eastern will square-off with its in-state foe, the Western Michigan Broncos, for the 91st time Saturday, Nov. 2. A largely one-sided affair, WMU has emerged victorious in 66 of the all-time matchups. Western won this season's first matchup, 3-0, Sept. 27, in Kalamazoo.

FRANKI KEEPS FIRING: Junior Franki Strefling turned in a pair of solid weekend performances against Buffalo, Oct. 24, and Akron, Oct. 26, respectively. The Niles, Mich. native hit for an impressive .389 average against the Bulls, leading EMU to a straight-set conference win. Against Akron, Strefling complied 15 kills, and 26 digs, helping the Eagles battle in a four-set affair with the Zips. In all, the junior racked up 24 kills, and 35 digs on the weekend.

GAR-ACE: Sophomore Mackenzie Garis was dialed in against Buffalo, Oct. 24. The Crystal Lake, Ill. native tallied four service aces in a 3-0 win against the bulls, her new career-high.

HIGH FLYING HEIDI: Sophomore Heidi Fausze had a career-best performance against Akron, Oct. 26. The Temperance, Mich. native racked up seven kills, seven points, and eight digs against the zips. Her seven kills set a new personal-best.

ON THE HORIZON: Following its contests with NIU and WMU, Eastern will hit the road for its last four regular season contests. The team will first trek to Central Michigan, Nov. 7, before heading to Kent State, Nov. 5. The team rounds out regular season play with trips to Ball State, Nov. 15, and Toledo, Nov. 16.
