DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team wrapped up its regular season calendar at the EMU Fall Classic Friday, Oct. 25 at Hudson Mills Metropark.
A trio of sophomores led the way for EMU in the 5K meet, as Kaitlyn St. Bernard (Newport, Mich.-Jefferson) finished 24th with a time of 18:44.0, while Lexi Seifert (Waterford Pa.-Villa Maria Academy) crossed the finish line in 27th at 18:52.5. Additionally, Olivia Chandler (Brighton, Mich.-Brighton) placed 35th as she set a personal-best time of 19:03.1.
Freshman Linda Geissler (Weinheim, Germany-Werner-Heisenberg Gymnasium Weinheim) also finished in the top-50 with a career-best time of 19:39.0, while fellow freshman Lindsay Bush (North Olmsted, Ohio-Magnificat) clocked in at 20:03.7. Senior Abbigail Stemple (Mason, Ohio-William Mason) completed the regular season finale with a time of 21:12.4.
The Eagles look to extend their streak of four consecutive Mid-American Conference titles as they travel to DeKalb, Ill. for the MAC Championship, Nov. 2.
