Bogdanova Advances to 3000m Steeplechase Finals

EUGENE, Ore. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University redshirt senior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia-Lyceum #83) advanced to the final round of the 3000m steeplechase today, June 7, at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. The championship round of the steeplechase will take place Saturday at approximately 4 p.m. PDT.
The redshirt senior had an outstanding performance in the semifinals, crossing the finish line in 9:57.05 to place third in her respective heat and ninth overall. The Kazan, Russia native now has the opportunity to earn outdoor First Team All-American honors for the second-straight season, as well as bringing home the third outdoor national title in school history during Saturday's final round of competition.
