BUFFALO, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team finished out day two of the MAC Outdoor Championships Friday, May 11 at Buffalo, N.Y. The day saw an event title in the 3000m steeplechase, as well as several championship-qualifying performances.
After finishing runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase at last season's outdoor championship, redshirt senior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia-Lyceum #83) came into the event today and ran an incredible race to claim the event title. The Kazan, Russia native posted a personal-record time of 10:04.88, and her first-place finish gave EMU 10 points. Additionally, that time ranks 16th in the nation at the moment.
