Sripatrprasite's 75 Leads EMU On Opening Day of Falcon Invite

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Battling both the wind and chilly temperatures, freshman Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) is just three shots off the lead at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational after an opening round 75. Sripatrprasite recorded birdies on the third and ninth holes and is in an eight-way tie for third on the par 72, 5,960-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club course.
Junior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) is just one shot back with a 76 in a tie for 11th, while sophomore Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) added a 78. Senior Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne) and sophomore Julia Stevenson (Milford, Mich.-Milford) rounded out the team scoring with a 79 and an 86, respectively.
The University of Toledo sits ontop of the leaderboard with a 304, just ahead of the University of Indianapolis (306), Ball State University (306), and Eastern Michigan University (308). UT's Pinyada Kuvanun paced all individuals with a first round 72 and is two strokes ahead of BSU's Sydney Anderson.
Playing as individuals, Kritsuda Apiwatthanadol (Bangkok, Thailand- Somtawin Witead Suska Huaymongkhon School) and Katelin Lawson (LaSalle, Ontario-Ridge Community-Tampa) added identical rounds of 89.
The second and final round of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational will begin Saturday, April 8, at 11 a.m.
