Eagles Finish Out Day One of Tennessee Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team had four performances serve as personal-records on the first day of the Tennessee Relays Thursday, April 12, in Knoxville, Tenn.

Two of the record-setting performances came in the long jump, with freshmen Skyler Lester (Marietta, Ga.-Marietta) and Ryan Long (Gainsborough, England-Queen Elizabeth) placing 10th and 12th with distances of 6.57m and 6.40m, respectively.

Lester also marked a career-best 400m dash time of 53.50 to place 11th, while junior Zach Harkey (Huron, Ohio-Huron) notched a distance of 56.10 in the hammer throw to finish eighth in the event.

The Eagles continue competition at the Tennessee Relays tomorrow at 10 a.m., starting with multi events.
