YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team cruised past the University of Toledo in straight sets inside the Convocation Center Friday night, Nov. 2. The Eagles (15-12, 7-6 MAC) led early and never looked back, grounding the Rockets (9-15 (4-9 MAC)) 25-17, 25-22, and 25-18.
Eastern overpowered Toledo in nearly every statistical category, including a stout .310 hitting percentage to UT's .135. EMU also finished with more kills (47 to 29), digs (53 to 49), and service aces (6 to 3).
Redshirt senior Mallory Rajewski (Midland, Mich.-Midland) and junior Riley Taylor (Indianapolis, Ind.-Perry Meridian) split the setting duties for a well-balanced EMU attack that saw six Eagles register six-or-more kills.
