Pat Bradley Invitational Marks Final Fall Event for Eagles

LAKEWOOD Ranch, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's golf will conclude the fall portion of the schedule at the 41st Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational just outside Sarasota, Fla., beginning Sunday, Oct. 21. The tournament is being held at the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club's par-72, 6,288-yard Cypress Lakes Course.
The scoring format will consist of each team fielding five players, with the lowest four scores counting for each round. Eighteen holes will be played on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
There will be 15 teams at the invitational, including: Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Georgia State, Gonzaga, Jacksonville, McNeese State, South Florida, Southern Mississippi, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UMKC, UTEP, Wyoming.
Eastern Michigan took part in the tournament last year, as the team finished the event in a tie for 13th-place with a 927 (322-301-304). Then-sophomore Katelin Lawson (LaSalle, Ontario-Ridge Community-Tampa) had a career-best tournament, shooting 72 and a 75 on the final day for her first rounds in the 70s. The 227 (80-72-75) marked the lowest 54-hole tally of her career, as she placed 31st out of 78 competitors.
Overall, it marks EMU's sixth appearance in field with previous invitations to play in 1996, 2004, 2011, 2016, and 2017.
Playing as a team will be senior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval), junior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne), sophomore Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International), freshman Abby Livingston (Novi, Mich.-Novi), and freshman Green Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School).
