Women's Cross Country Takes On The EMU Fall Classic

This event will be the Eagles' final competition before postseason begins
DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team wraps up its regular season competition Friday, Oct. 19, as it hosts the annual EMU Fall Classic at the Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich. The meet will serve as the last opportunity for the Eagles to obtain experience before they start the postseason Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Mid-American Conference Championship in Toledo, Ohio.
Last weekend, EMU placed 17th at Pre-Nationals in Madison, Wis., having two runners place in the top-25. Eastern closed out the meet with a team score of 475 points. Pacing the Eagles were co-captains, redshirt senior Natalie Cizmas (Clinton Twp., Mich.-Chippewa Valley), and senior Sydney Meyers (Zionsville, Ind.-Zionsville Community) who clocked in at 20:48.0 and 20:48.5 to place 20th and 21st, respectively.
The women are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., while the men begin their competition at 5 p.m. Results will be posted following the conclusion of the meet.
