Men's Cross Country Finishes Out Regular Season at EMU Fall Classic

This is the Eagles' last meet before the MAC Championship
DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team concludes its regular season schedule Friday, Oct. 19, as it hosts the annual EMU Fall Classic at the Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich.
The Eagles are coming off of a first-place team finish at the Jayhawk Invitational 8k in Muskegon, Mich., Oct. 12. Junior captain Austin Wicker (Pinckney, Mich. –Pinckney) bested the existing course record while finishing third with a personal-best 8k time of 24:31.46. Collectively, all five scorers for Eastern finished within the top-10, ultimately compiling a team score of 16 points, EMU's best final score of the season.
This weekend EMU will take on multiple in-state programs, as well as Mid-American Conference-foe Toledo. Additionally, the meet will serve as the last opportunity for the Eagles to gain experience before they start the postseason Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Mid-American Conference Championship in Toledo, Ohio.
The women are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., while the men begin their competition at 5 p.m. Results will be posted following the conclusion of the meet.
