NCAA East Regional Day Two Results
LEXINGTON, KY. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team continued competition today, May 26, at the NCAA East Regional in Lexington, Ky. Just one Eagle competed on the day, taking part in the 200m.
Junior Jasmine Jones (Greensburg, Pa. – Hempfield Area) was the lone Green and White representative on day two of competition. Taking part in the 200m dash and competing at regionals for the first time in her career, Jones took sixth in her heat, clocking in at 23.74 to finish 36th overall. In fact, Jones' time was just .09 seconds behind her personal-best, which was set earlier this season.
The Eagles wrap up the NCAA East Regional tomorrow, May 27. Day three will feature one Eastern competitor in the triple jump at 3 p.m., while an EMU distance runner will take part in the 5000m at 8:05 p.m.
