Softball Summer Camp Registration Still Open!

The Eagles will host four camps this month
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Spots are still available for four Eastern Michigan University softball camps set to take place this month. Camps, open to all skill levels, include instruction from EMU softball coaches and players, giving players and coaches in attendance the opportunity to learn the techniques used by the Eagles.
Eastern Michigan's summer camps get underway, July 11-12, at Varsity Field. EMU's Summer Youth Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will focus on primary and secondary defensive positions as well as hitting, slapping, bunting, base running, and conditioning. A similar camp will be offered to softball players 13-18 years old, July 18-19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Covering all aspects of the game, the Summer Elite Camp will give players the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the EMU coaching staff.
In addition to the individual camps, Eastern Michigan will host a pair of team camps. EMU's Youth Team Camp takes place July 11-12 from 1-3 p.m. and is open to first-year 14U teams and younger while the Summer Elite Team Camp is scheduled for July 18-19 from 1-3 p.m. and is open to second year 14U teams and older. Teams will go through two two-hour long practices specific to their team. One day will focus on defense and the other offense, allowing players to work both sides of the game. The team camps are limited to four teams, so early registration is advised.
