LONG BEACH, Calif. (EMUEagles.com) –
The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team kicked off a busy three days of competition with the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, Thursday, April 13, in Long Beach, Calif. EMU had one mid-distance runner compete in the meet.

Junior Rebekah Branham (Circleville, Ohio – Circleville) was the lone Eastern competitor on the day. Branham competed in the 800m run, competing in section one of the race. The Circleville, Ohio native finished sixth in her section, clocking in at 2:14.03, which was less than four seconds away from a top-three finish.

The Eagles resume action tomorrow, April 14, as the Green and White will be at a pair of meets. Eastern competes at both the Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance, Calif., as well as the Ball State Challenge in Muncie, Ind.
