Eastern Travels South to Take on Toledo

The Eagles and Rockets will square off at 1 p.m. on Saturday
TOLEDO, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team returns to action this Saturday, April 15, when it travels to Toledo, Ohio to square off with the University of Toledo. The match is slated for 1 p.m. at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts on the Toledo campus.
The Rockets (8-11, 0-6 MAC) enter Saturday's match on a six-match losing streak, as their last victory came over Youngstown State, 6-1, March 18. The Eagles (6-13, 1-4 MAC) are also on a skid of their own, dropping the last four matches they have played. The overall series between the two squads sits at 29-9 in favor of the Eagles. Eastern has recorded victories in three of its last four matches versus UT.
Last season, the Eagles were defeated by the Rockets by a score of 4-3. After winning the doubles point, EMU took two doubles victories before it came down to a three-set match at No. 6 singles. Renu Sharma (Fardabad, India) eventually fell in a 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 decision which sealed the match for the Rockets.
