Eagles Travel to Southfield for a Dual with Detroit

The Green and White will square off with UDM at 8 p.m.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will close out the 2017 non-conference campaign Friday, March 17, with an 8 p.m. match versus the University of Detroit Mercy. The match will take place in Southfield, Mich. at the Franklin Athletic Club.
Eastern Michigan is no stranger to facing its in-state rival, Detroit. The Green and White has seen the Titans on 13 occasions, winning all but one of the contests. In 2015, the Eagles were handed their only loss in the series, 4-3, Jan. 24.
After winning the doubles point with victories by Alejandra Barcelo Almoyna (Alicante, Spain-IES Figueras Racheco) and Daphne Friedrich at No. 3 doubles and Andrea Martinovska (Plzn, Czech Republic-Sport and Management School) and Klara Supejova at No. 1, the Green and White proceeded to drop four of its six singles contests.
