The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented weekly to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during the week's competition.

Fink, who maintains a 3.79 grade point average in chemistry, had a very strong two days of competition at the Indoor MAC Championships this past weekend, Feb. 24-25. Fink began the meet with a win in the 5000m, clocking in at 14:28.38 to lead an EMU sweep of the event.

On day two, the Maumee, Ohio native led two more podium sweeps for the Eagles, winning the mile in 4:09.24 and the 3000m in 8:12.75. At the conclusion of the meet, Fink was also named Most Valuable Performer, in addition to receiving First Team All-MAC honors.

This marks the second time this season that an Eagle has won the award. The Green and White will now regroup for the outdoor season, which is scheduled to begin with the Raleigh Relays, March 24-25.
