SEATTLE, Wash. (EMUEagles.com) –
The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team wrapped up competition for the weekend today, Feb. 11, as one Eagle took part in the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. The lone EMU representative had a great day, however, securing a top-10 finish in a tough field of distance runners.

Eastern Michigan's lone competitor on the day was redshirt senior Willy Fink (Maumee, Ohio – Maumee). Fink took part in the very competitive 3000m run, ultimately finishing with a time of 7:57.11 to take eighth-place out of 104 total runners. The Maumee, Ohio native, who narrowly missed his personal-best mark of 7:56.04, which is the second-best in the EMU record books, was also just four seconds away from second-place.

Next week, the Eagles return to South Bend, Ind. for the Alex Wilson Invitational, Saturday, Feb. 18. This marks the final regular season indoor meet prior to the Indoor Mid-American Conference Championships, Feb. 24-25.
