Former Golfer Stuart Grehan Named to GB&I Walker Cup Squad

A total of 19 players initially selected for Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup team
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Former Eastern Michigan University men's golfer Stuart Grehan (Tullamore, Ireland-Colaiste Choilm) has been included in an initial 19-man Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup team that will face the United States at Los Angeles Country Club in September.
Grehan was a member of Ireland's 2016 bronze medal winning team at the World Amateur Team Championship and is now the highest ranked Irish player at 54th on the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
A final selection of 10 players will be announced in August.
The 46th Walker Cup match will be played over the weekend of Sept. 9-10. GB&I will bid to retain the historic trophy after a record 16½ - 9½ victory over the USA at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2015.
