Eagles Gear Up for Another Packed Week

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – After a productive week in Ohio, the Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team gears up for a trio of meets, April 27-30. The Eagles will compete close to home at the Gina Relays, April 28-30, in addition to heading west for the Drake Relays, April 27-30, and the Payton Jordan Invitational, May 1.

Last week at the Jesse Owens Classic, April 22-23, Eastern had two student-athletes notch marks that were solid on the national level. Junior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia – Lyceum #83), who primarily runs distance, took part in the 1500m, posting a time of 4:21.22. Her mark comes in at No. 60 so far this outdoor season. Additionally, fellow junior Janina Pollatz (Grandville, Mich. – Grand Rapids Christian) competed in the pole vault, notching a mark of 4.10 meters/ 13 feet 5.25-inches, which was a personal-best. She now sits in the No. 43 spot on the national level.
