Softball Summer Camp Registration Now Open

The Eagles will host four camps during the month of July
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University softball team announced today, April 15, the dates for four camps set to take place this summer. Camps, open to all skill levels, include instruction from EMU softball coaches and players, giving players and coaches in attendance the opportunity to learn the techniques used by the Eagles.
The Eagles' summer camps get underway July 12-13 at Varsity Field. The first, the Eagle Youth Two-Day Camp is open to kids 8-12 years old of any skill level. The three hour long camp runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will focus on primary and secondary defensive positions as well has hitting, slapping, bunting, base running, and conditioning. A similar camp will be offered to softball players 13-18 years old, July 19-20, from 1-3 p.m. Covering all aspects of the game, the Eagle Prospect Two-Day Camp will give players the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the EMU coaching staff.
In addition to the individual camps, Eastern Michigan will host a pair of team camps. The Eagle Two-Day Youth Team Camp takes place July 12-13 from 1-3 p.m. and is open to first year 14U teams and younger while the Eagle Two-Day Prospect Team Camp is scheduled for July 19-20 from 1-3 p.m. and is open to second year 14U teams and older. Teams will go through two two-hour long practices specific to their team. One day will focus on defense and the other offense, allowing players to work both sides of the game. The team camps are limited to four teams so early registration is advised.
