AMES, Iowa (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team wrapped up an action-packed two days of competition with a pair of runners taking part in the Iowa State Classic, Feb. 13.
In the 800m dash, sophomore Jenna Wyns (Londerzeel, Belgium – Sportschol KA2) had a solid run, clocking in at 2:12.54. Her time was the quickest in her heat, and finished 29th overall. Additionally, freshman Sydney Meyers (Zionsville, Ind. – Zionsville Community) ran the mile, crossing the finish line in 4:53.97 to place 26th. She also managed to set a new personal-best with her time.
The Eagles have one more regular season meet before the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships, Feb. 26-27. Next week, the team travels back to South Bend, Ind. for the Alex Wilson Invitational, Feb. 20.
